Logistics and export planning that gets the order to your door with the paperwork in order

A garment order is not finished when the last piece is packed. It has to be consolidated, documented, shipped and, for cross-border orders, cleared through customs. Mistakes at this stage cost money and time: a missing document can hold a shipment, a wrong carton count can cause disputes and a poorly chosen shipping method can add cost without adding value.

This page explains how we plan logistics for a garment order, what shipping options exist, which documents are usually needed, how terms of delivery divide responsibility, what to think about for duties and taxes and how tracking and communication work. It is written for brand owners and procurement teams who want a clear picture before they commit. We coordinate logistics as part of a complete garment order, and ready stock in Germany ships separately under its own terms.

What logistics coordination covers

Logistics is more than moving boxes. We coordinate the steps that connect finished goods to your delivery address.

  • Packing and cartons how garments are packed, counted and marked for shipping.
  • Consolidation bringing the parts of an order together so they ship as planned.
  • Booking arranging transport with the carrier or forwarder that fits the order.
  • Documents preparing the paperwork that travels with the goods.
  • Tracking sharing shipment details so you can follow progress.

If you already work with your own freight forwarder, we will coordinate with them instead.

Shipping options

The right shipping method depends on the size of the order, how soon the goods are needed and your budget. We discuss the options with you and recommend one, rather than defaulting to the same method for every order.

  1. 01

Road freight common for shipments within Europe, from pallet loads to full trucks.

  2. 02

Sea freight economical for large volumes where time allows.

  3. 03

Air freight faster, with higher cost, suited to smaller or urgent shipments.

  4. 04

Courier and parcel services for samples and small consignments.

We do not promise delivery times in advance, because they depend on the carrier, the route and conditions beyond anyone's control. We tell you what to expect for your specific shipment once the plan is set.

Terms of delivery

Terms of delivery decide who is responsible for what, and at which point responsibility passes from seller to buyer. They cover who pays for transport, who arranges insurance, who handles export and import clearance and where the risk of loss or damage changes hands. Common international terms are published by the International Chamber of Commerce.

The right term depends on how involved you want to be. Some buyers prefer to receive goods delivered to their door, while others prefer to arrange their own freight. We explain the term in plain language and write it into the order, so there are no surprises. We recommend that you confirm the term with your own advisers if the details matter to you.

Documents that travel with the goods

Shipments usually need a set of documents, and the exact set depends on the route and the goods. Typical documents include a commercial invoice, a packing list, the transport document from the carrier and, where required, certificates or declarations related to origin or product requirements.

Accuracy matters. A commercial invoice and packing list that do not match the goods or each other can delay clearance. We prepare the documents carefully from the order, check them against the cartons and share them with you before shipping, so you can spot errors early. We do not promise customs outcomes, since decisions rest with the authorities, but we make sure the paperwork is complete and consistent.

Duties, taxes and customs

Goods entering a country may be subject to import duties and taxes, depending on the product, the value and the route. Rules differ between countries and change over time. We recommend that you check the position for your market, or ask your customs broker or adviser, before ordering.

If you are importing, you will usually need the correct product classification, the value and the origin information, and we provide the facts we hold about the goods to support your declaration. We are not a customs adviser, and we do not give tax advice, so for duties and taxes we recommend professional guidance specific to your situation.

Tracking, communication and ready stock

Once an order ships, we share the shipment details so you can follow it, and we keep you informed if anything changes. Receiving goods involves a few simple steps on your side as well: check the cartons against the packing list, note any damage when you sign for delivery and tell us promptly if something is wrong.

Ready stock in Germany is handled separately. Stock is available from 1 piece for business customers, with shipping and pickup arranged under the stock terms. Our German warehouse and EU distribution pages describe that process. Tell us about your order and the delivery you need, and we will respond in writing with a logistics plan. We sell to business customers only.
